Kuwait passport holders do not need to apply for a visa to enter Thailand. Kuwait is listed in the Visa Exemption Scheme, which means travellers can enter Thailand and stay in the country for up to 30 days if entering via the international airport and 15 days if entering through a land border checkpoint.
There are multiple visa schemes available for Kuwait passport holders.
Tourist Visa (TR)
The Tourist Visa gives the traveller the opportunity to stay in the country for up to 60 days, which can be extended for an additional 30 days. This visa can only be used if they are visiting the country for tourism purposes.
Education “Non-Immigrant” Visa (ED)
The ED visa allows travellers to visit Thailand for study visits and training sessions. A single-entry visa lets the traveller enter the country within 90 days while a multiple-entry visa allows unlimited entry to Thailand for a year.
Business “Non-Immigrant” Visa (B)
The B visa allows travellers to conduct business or seek employment at a Thai company. A single-entry visa lets the traveller enter the country within 90 days while a multiple-entry visa allows unlimited entry to Thailand for a year.
Marriage “Non-Immigrant” Visa (O)
The visa can only be applied for by a traveller who is married to a Thai national. The traveller should have an income of THB 40,000 ($1,110) or a bank account of THB 400,000 ($11,220). A single-entry visa lets the traveller enter the country within 90 days while a multiple-entry visa allows unlimited entry to Thailand for a year.
Retirement “Non-Immirant” Visa (O or OA)
Only travellers who are 50 years or older with a pension of THB 65,000 ($1,820), at least THB 800,000 ($22,460) in the bank, or a combination of both. A single-entry visa lets the traveller enter the country within 90 days while a multiple-entry visa allows unlimited entry to Thailand for a year.
Dependent / Guardian (O)
This visa can only be applied for by the dependent or immediate family of foreign nationals holding non-immigrant visas. It can also be applied for by the guardian or immediate family of a Thai child or student.
There are a number of airlines flying from Kuwait to Thailand. Currently, only IndiGo Airlines, Thai AirAsia, Jazeera Airways, Air Arabia, and Kuwait Airways.
As of June 2023, only Kuwait Airways offers direct flights from Oman to Thailand.
